Youth Poets Ignite – Poetry Slam!

Poetry Slam Rules:
– Each poem must be of the poet’s own construction
– 3 progressing rounds at this slam
– Each poet gets three minutes (plus a thirty second grace period) to read one poem.  If the poet goes over time, points will be deducted from the total score.
– They poet may not use props, costumes or musical instruments
– Of the score the poet receives from the five judges, the highest and lowest scores are dropped and the middle tree are added together, giving the poet a total score of 0-30.
-Must between the ages of 12-19
-Limited Slots available

Audience for ages 12 and up.  Poem content may not be suitable for all ages.
