Celebrating 100 Years of the Women’s Right to Vote
Virtual Art Contest
The City of Laredo and District V Council Member Nelly Vielma invite all artists to compete in a virtual art contest. This year’s theme is Celebrating 100 Years of the Women’s Right to Vote. Artists can come up with creative ideas and put them down on canvas or paper.
This contest is open to all local artists. This is a virtual art competition and registration will be done electronically. All artists must register their submission HERE.
All entries must be submitted at the Joe A. Guerra Laredo Public Library, 1120 E. Calton Rd. by Friday, October 2, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. This is the official closure of the contest. Entries and submissions after this date will not be considered.
Artwork submissions must be accompanied by a short biography describing the work and the artist (artistic training, artistic inspiration, media choice, any special technique used, etc.) and an uploaded image of your artwork. Your entry may not be selected if the bio is not provided. Full guidelines for artwork submission, acceptable mediums, and judging criteria can be found in the Virtual Art Contest Official Rules document linked below.
