What is the TexShare Card Program?
The TexShare Card Program allows you to borrow from almost 500 participating libraries across Texas. TexShare cards are non-renewable.
How can I get my TexShare Card?
To apply for a TexShare card as a Laredo Public Libraries cardholder:
- You must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Have a Laredo Public Libraries Card in good standing for at least six (6) months
What can I borrow from other libraries?
Each library sets its own policy for what it will lend to TexShare card members, please contact the library you’re interesting in borrowing from to see their lending policies. You will have to apply to each participating library annually.
To apply for a TexShare Card as a non-Laredo Public Libraries cardholder:
- You must have a TexShare card issued by your home library
- Bring a form of government issued ID (Driver’s license)
- You must apply annually (TexShare cards are non-renewable)
What can I borrow from the Laredo Public Libraries?
- You can borrow up to four (4) books.
What can’t I borrow from the Laredo Public Libraries?
- Electronic resources (e-books, databases)
- Audiovisual materials
- Reference materials
- Local history collection materials
