Honor your loved ones for Día de los Muertos/ Day of the Dead by making your own DIY altar at our Joe A. Guerra Laredo Public Library! The altar is intended to honor loved ones who have passed on with a handmade creation for Día de los Muertos / Day of the Dead.

We’ll provide the materials for you to make your altar! Please bring a picture of your loved one and any trinkets or items that remind you of them that you’d like to include!

Andres Ramos is a local professional tattoo artist at Iron Horse Tattoos, and he will be leading three workshop sessions on how to watercolor with premade designs he created himself. Join us to discover the watercolor medium and learn the history of traditional tattoo designs.

Session 1: Saturday, Oct. 3rd from 3:30-5:30pm
Will focus on only using black ink.

Session 2: Saturday, Nov. 21st from 3:30-5:30pm
Will focus on using color ink.

Session 3: Saturday, Dec. 12th from 3:30-5:30pm
Incorporate black and color ink to your heart’s content!

We will have all of the watercolor materials while supplies last. Registration is only required once for all three sessions.
